Resume
I am a full-time freelance writer, editor and author. For a few years, I ran my own publishing company and was responsible for getting the company's books featured in a Woman's Day magazine giveaway. I prepared all press releases and marketing information for the books, and I contacted book stores and other venues in an effort to market the books. My nonfiction articles have run the gamut from forensic technology articles to recipes for preparing lower fat Valentine's Day meals.

Writing It Right!
(Squidoo Lens, 5/15/2008)
Don't let the mechanics of writing stand between you and an assignment. Make sure your cover letter and manuscript are error-free (even if your cover letter is an e-mail) prior to sending them out. Even if you're a grammatical ace, you have to be aware of the different style guides.
